Masterclass with:
Cynthia Bain

TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FIRST CLASS:
-
Be sure to download the Zoom application to your computer well before the first class. You can do so here: https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting. Make sure to download the “Zoom Client For Meetings.”
-
Watch this video for great tips on how to set up for the call from photographer Matthew Rolston: http://tinyurl.com/CBYASwebcam
-
Choose a location with a strong internet connection. Ideally hard-wired in. If you are not sure if your connection is fast enough go here: https://tinyurl.com/CBYASspeed.
-

FOR CLASS:
-
Set up in a private, quiet room, with no distractions or other people, where you will be able to easily stand or sit.
-
Please use a simple chair, one that is not too padded and does not swivel.
-
The camera on your device should be at eye level or slightly above.
-
Set up where there is light on your face and where Cynthia or Jillian can clearly see your eyes. (Don’t set up with your back to a window. This will create a silhouette, which is not good for visibility. It’s better for you to be facing the window.)
-
Use the restroom before the class begins.
-
Use headphones
-
Have a glass of water on hand.
-
Make sure that you have your material printed out, with a pen and paper handy to take notes. (Have any notes from previous sessions on hand.)
-
Be at your computer ready to go a few minutes before class. You can click the link in the email under “Join Zoom Meeting” to join the class. This will open up your Zoom application on your computer and instantly connect you to the online classroom.
-
Feel free to click the link early! The class will start automatically when Cynthia or Jillian joins.
-
When the class starts, remember to enable your audio by clicking “Call using Internet Audio.”
We prefer students to be on a computer, NOT an iPad or phone, so they can see everyone. This will also allow them to pull up the documents on their computer and fill them out/see their sides during the class.
